Trims and ribbons

That prompt for PLAY this week.
Trims, ribbons, fibers!  Oh MY!
I love to find a way to add some to my work.
I love the texture.

The sky pictures are from a day at Lake Union
when the sky looked like it wasout of a fairy tale.
So amazing.

Check out Carla's page.

Art bits and digital work

That is the prompt for PLAY this week.
The drawing (not mine!) was done on vintage music paper.
I love using music paper in my projects.
I love music and almost always have music on.
(I'm not a TV watcher)

Nostalgia

This weeks PLAY prompt is
NOSTALGIA.

The black and white photo is one I took at the end of summer last year.

A longing for just a little more summer
and more flowers...
not the dried coneflowers waving a goodbye.

Check out Carla's page.

You can shake the sand from your shoes
but not from your soul.

Sketching

The prompt this week in PLAY
is sketching.

I am finding that I really enjoy sketching
and it stretches me in new ways.

To look at things in a different way.
This tag was on some socks I bought for Emma.

I liked that the flower looks like a sunrise.

Check out Carla's sketching.

The prompt for play is HEARTS this week.
A symbol I really like.

Check out Carla's page.

Close your eyes
clear your heart
let it go

Stars, stencils & stitching

For PLAY this week...
A star, some stripes and some stenciling with a little stitching.

Kinda funny colors, but I liked the shiney sparkle papers.

Check out Carla's page.

Crazy for circles

This weeks prompt for PLAY
is crazy for circles.
I love circles
And they often show up in my art.

Check out Carla's circles.

the most beautiiful

Cheesecloth

The prompt this week for PLAY
is cheesecloth.

I have none...
I kinda got stuck on this one and ended up creating
and then used gauze
(thanks, Carla, for the suggestion!)
to stamp along the side.

Check out Carla's page.

Labels, labels and more labels

This is then prompt for PLAY
this week.

So many of product labels are super cool
and an inspiration.
Good doddle material and cool fonts too.
